Title : TILLBURRY TOWN
Artist : The Waiting
Album : Tillbury Town [1991]
Written by Todd Olsen
based on a poem by E.A. Robinson

TILLBURRY TOWN:

A man climbed the hill above the town below
His name was Mr. Flood and he was alone
The road was his, with not a native near
So he was free to speak
And not a soul in Tillburry Town could hear him saying
"I need a friend tonight."

"Mr. Flood, we have the harvest moon again
We won't have many more
As you and I have said it here before."
And so he sang the song For Auld Lang Syne
His weary throat gave out, but inside he shouts
"Dear God, I need you tonight."

And now he sings, not For Auld Lang Syne
He sings Amazing Grace
For he has met The Savior face to face
